9 days agoI think that is the best thing - whether it’s a spouse, kids, or a pet - having someone genuinely excited to see you come home can make you forget most of life’s troubles for a short time.
In terms of dogs, it’s great. Our one has a special tail wag for when he’s happy to see us, it’s like a circular motion much like Tails from Sonic 2 does when he’s running at pace - different from his usual happy or excited wag, and unique to being happy to see someone.

That is awesome! I love it when dogs “get it” when you’ve been trying to tell them what’s best for them. My dog loves to be lazy and sit in the sun in the garden, and it takes a lot to fire him up for a walk. When he does get back though, he is absolutely knackered and it’s lovely feeling him lie down on my feet to sleep.
