Just stating that, in fact, the “purchaser” doesn’t own games anymore and they have the right and ability to do what they want after they have your (the purchasers) money.
TLDR: They can legally do whatever they want at any time which includes flipping a switch to kill the offline mode.
If offline mode makes it to release, it will be bricked within 3 months after they get their cash grab.

Ok, I see what you mean. So I guess a login then play offline. Pass then, but with a bit of luck, a pirated version will be made some day.
I would be happy to give them money, but not for something they can take back.
