    I was about to say the same, but then realized that none of the entrees include fries. $14 for a burger and fries is not unexpected at your average sports bar, but without fries for a plain Jane burger? I don’t know what the market is like in LA …

    But $12 for four strips of bacon is outrageous, and $5 for this cookie is a slap in the face

      The hot dog says “served with fried potatoes” at least. If the burger doesn’t come with fries that’s criminal. How can you serve a burger without fries

      LA varies widely in food prices (I visit 2-3x a year). The overall vibe I can distill it down to is that these are competitive with small restaurants with no big name recognition or premium ingredients. UOVO pasta? 30-40$/serving. Some no name poke restaurant next to a Ralph’s? 15$ for a whole ass bowl of raw fish fresh from the fish market.

      LA is the land of Star fuckers, where name recognition and vanity are above all else. If you stay away from the star fuckers, food there is actually affordable compared to the cost of living.
