I feel like community is the only show to do it right. The product placement wasn’t subtle, they didn’t try to hide it from you. They incorporated it into the story, and anything that was an “ad read” came from subway itself, not any of the characters. They even allow for some nice tongue in cheek jokes about the product placement in future episodes as well.
Of course I’d rather not have any product placement, but if you’re gonna do it, it should be like that.
Community: Every Subway storyline (especially the Britta relationship)
