I couldn’t get past the new season’s first episode. It felt like nothing new was being said or done. I enjoyed a lot of the show, all in all. But it really feels done.

Same. I really enjoyed the first season, but since then it’s felt like the show never expected to get recommissioned and has really struggled to find a good direction.

Series 2 was decent enough, 3 struggled with the whole Ian & Poppy ‘doing their own thing’ storyline, and just turned more and more into a standard sitcom formula. The first episode of series 4 was so bad, all the character was gone, it was just so formulaic I didn’t bother with the rest.

I agree. It started strong, but slipped steadily after the first season. It was great while it lasted. Not every show can be 6 seasons and a movie.

I think I got 3 episodes in hoping to see what all the fuss was about, turns out it’s just not a show for me. Glad others like it though!

And then the get to the standalone episodes, and they’re genuinelly really good, so why is the actual show so annoying and unfunny?! Thats what broke me.
