Nice. I found it quite intriguing. Looking forward to how they move forward.
I thought the show ended at the end of S2. Sure seemed like it to me. Good news though
The serie it’s based on be book, so it has more to show! Not to mention viewers loved it!
I mean, ok.
It was achingly slow, and not in a ‘slow burn’ kind of way, but in a 'we need to drag this shit out because we don’t have anything left after the questions are answered kind of way.
This is the TV version of a meeting that could have been an email, but more like a slack chat.
It seems like they just completely forgot to write characters, and every single time I see common I’m hoping to hell he has one of those horrible deaths where everybody cheers.
Definitely not slow, but agree on Common
Agree, I made it through season 1, barely, started season 2 and it put me to asleep and I never woke up.
The books do some book shit that’s won’t fly on TV, that’s why this season had to be like it is.
How they tackle S3 is going to be interesting, since the book for that was even bigger book shit.
I read the books, I don’t think it was quite this unfilmable.
Juliet literally wasn’t in a whole ass book at all
And?
They had other characters there, it built tension, but finally, HAVE SEASONS WITH LESS OF A BREAK!!!
Season 2 could have been cheaper without Reverend mother Juliet, it could have been a half season with all these supporting characters we otherwise don’t care about, and the 4 episodes could have ended with a teaser that she was alive.
They’re throwing so much bullshit at the wall while trying to make it ‘prestige’, that it takes years and we stop caring about the characters and plot.
Slow horses is the opposite of this, short, cheap seasons, but more frequent so you enjoy the plot progression.
Now imagine Slow Horses but they tell Gary Oldman to fuck right off for a season without pay.
TV doesn’t work like that.
For the same reason The Expanse had to shuffle plot lines around so that the main characters had screen time and didn’t have to skip full seasons
It absolutely works like that.
Snowpiercer was worse.
You are obsessed with the American version of seasons, let it be more flexible, like the European version.
Or the walking dead variants, the characters aren’t in all of them, it’s like that, make it 2 series, wool with what’s her face, and the silo with the others.
